Apple Maps is the one most owners forget
When someone taps directions, the map decides where they drive. If your pin sits on the wrong street, the back of a business park or the middle of a big lot, that customer arrives frustrated, or not at all. A venue, a salon in a shared building and a property office with a side entrance all lose people this way.
Apple Maps is the one most owners forget. It's the default map on every iPhone, it's where Siri looks when someone asks for your hours, your number or directions to you, and CarPlay drivers see it first. If you've never claimed your place through Apple Business Connect, Apple is working from whatever data it has, and you can't see what it's telling people.
The two maps don't share information. Fixing Google does nothing for Apple, and the reverse. A duplicate on either one splits your reviews and calls, and an old address from a previous location can keep sending people there long after you've moved. Cleanup means both listings, matched exactly, duplicates dealt with, and each one linked to your site. In a town like Olympia, with downtown alleys, shared buildings and new developments in Lacey, a pin a block off can happen.

Questions owners ask.
How do I add my business to Apple Maps?
Through Apple Business Connect, Apple's tool for business owners. You sign in with an Apple account, find or add your place, and verify that you're the business. Once verified, you control the name, hours, photos and details iPhone users see. We do the claim and setup with you, then match it to Google.
Why is my business in the wrong place on Google Maps?
Usually the address landed on the center of a parcel or the wrong side of a building, someone suggested a bad edit, or an old location is still active. You can move the pin from your Business Profile, and duplicates can be reported. We correct the pin, deal with duplicates, and check the result from a phone.
Why does Siri give the wrong hours for my business?
Siri reads from Apple Maps. If you've never claimed your place in Apple Business Connect, or you've only ever updated hours on Google, Apple is working from old data. Setting your hours and holiday hours in Apple Business Connect is the fix, and it's part of Maps Cleanup.
Is fixing Google enough, or do I need Apple Maps too?
You need both. They don't share data, and anyone using an iPhone, Siri or CarPlay sees Apple's version first. Fixing one leaves the other wrong. Maps Cleanup covers both in one job.
Can you remove a duplicate listing on Google Maps?
We report duplicates and old locations to Google and Apple with the right details, and make sure the correct listing is the one holding your information. The platforms make the final call on removal, so we tell you what was submitted and confirm what changed.
