My website is down. What do I do?
Check whether it's down for everyone or just you, then whether the domain renewed. Common causes are an expired domain, a hosting account problem, a plugin update gone wrong, or a DNS change. If you're not on our hosting, a domain fix or a WordPress quick fix gets someone on it. On Stellers Hosting, we’re alerted the moment the site goes down.
Why are my business emails going to spam?
Usually your domain's SPF, DKIM or DMARC records are missing or wrong, so receiving servers can't confirm the mail is really from you. Sometimes a website form or booking tool sends as your domain without being included in those records. We audit the records, fix them, and include every service that sends email as you.
How do I get my domain transferred into my name?
If someone else registered it, the domain has to move into an account you own. That means unlocking it, getting the transfer code and approving the move, or having the current holder change ownership inside their registrar. We handle the steps and set the records back up on the other side so nothing breaks. On its own, that's a domain fix. If anything we set up stops working within 14 days, we fix it free.
What's the difference between hosting, a domain and DNS?
The domain is your address, like yourbusiness.com. Hosting is the building your site lives in. DNS is the set of signs connecting the two, and it also tells the world where your email goes.
